BANGKOK – Bangkok Airways announced today that it is reducing its current fuel surcharge tariff on its international and domestic flights according to the current world’s oil price and to boost the state of tourism.

The charge for international flights between Thailand and Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam is reduced to US$15 per sector (from US$25). Flights from Bangkok to Macau are reduced to US$25 per sector (from US$30), from Bangkok to Xi’an the surcharge is reduced to US$45 per sector (from US$60), from Bangkok to Guilin is reduced to US$30 per sector (from US$40), from Samui to Singapore is reduced to US$25 (form US$45), from Samui to Hong Kong is reduced to US$32 per sector (from US$60), from Bangkok to Maldives is reduced to US$45 (from US$90) per sector, and from Bangkok to Japan is reduced to US$45 (from US$95) per sector. And the charge for domestic flights between Bangkok and Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui, and between Pattaya (Utapao) and Phuket, Samui, and between Chiang Mai and Samui is reduced to US$12 per sector (from US$20).

Also effective on January 9, the fuel surcharge for domestic sector for flights between Phnom Penh-Siem Reap is reduced to US$12 per sector (from US$20).
